Understanding the Concept of a "Site"

In the realm of Inline Help Software as a Service (SaaS), a "Site" is a central concept that forms the backbone of our service. Understanding what a Site is and how it functions to make the most out of our Inline Help tools is essential.

Definition

A "Site" is a digital knowledge repository representing your website or application. This repository is not just a collection of data but a comprehensive compilation of settings, configurations, and resources tailored to your specific needs. The unique aspect of a Site is its flexibility and adaptability to various domains and platforms.

Characteristics of a Site

Multi-Domain Capability: A Site can exist across multiple domains or platforms. Whether your service operates under different subdomains or multi-tenant scenarios, it can live all under one Site. For example, in a multi-tenant scenario, aaa.example.com and bbb.example.com, though appearing as separate entities, can have the same Inline Help embedded as it is using the same knowledge. There is only a need to create a Site per domain if different knowledge is needed, in which case it would make sense to separate these.

Knowledge Repository: At its core, a Site is a knowledge repository. It encompasses all the necessary information, guides, and tools for practical inline help and support. This includes but is not limited to FAQs, tutorial guides, and configuration settings.

Seamless Integration: A significant feature of a Site is its ability to be embedded anywhere. This flexibility allows the Inline Manual features to be available across various platforms and interfaces, ensuring a consistent user experience regardless of the domain.

Customizable Settings: Each Site comes with a range of customizable settings and configurations. This enables you to tailor the inline help experience to match your website or application's specific needs and branding.

Pricing

Per-Site Charges: Each Site you create has its charge. Any additional sites will incur a monthly charge based on your current plan.

Seats Per Account, Not Per Site: Don't worry about extra charges for the same user on different sites. Our seating is account-based, not site-based, so one user across multiple sites under the same account won't mean extra seat charges.

Shared Message Allowance: The total number of message allowances and any extra costs are shared across all your sites. This means more flexibility in distributing your message without worrying about individual site limits.
